Mrs. Day’s Pre-K students had a blast trying out their new “Light Up Our Learning” manipulatives, funded by the Pauls Valley Foundation for Academic Excellence! For today’s Fun Friday activity, they loved explored colorful bugs—sorting them into groups and creating patterns. 🐞✨

In 7th grade Computer Science, students got to explore the qualities of a good system for representing information by creating their own systems. They learned that computers represent information using either “on” or “off”, and were introduced to the ASCII system for representing text using binary symbols. Students practiced using this system before encoding their own messages using ASCII.

This letter went home yesterday. If you want to eat Thanksgiving Lunch with your child on Friday, November 21st, please send the letter & your money to school no later than this Thursday, November 13th. Thank you!!

The Whitebead 7/8 Grade basketball tournament was a great success this week. Great job to all the teams, players and coaches. We are proud to announce the Whitebead Lady Chiefs are the Tournament Champions and our Chiefs won 3rd place. Congratulations Chiefs and Coach Hamilton for a successful start to the season! Thank you to everyone who helped make this tournament possible. See you all Monday night as we cheer on the Chiefs vs. Middleburg!

Whitebead School would like to honor the veterans in our students’ families at our upcoming Veteran’s Day Assembly!
We invite students and families to invite their Veteran family members to attend and be recognized for their service and sacrifice.

The Dino bus is running behind this morning. We apologize for any inconvenience. Students will still be able to eat breakfast before going to class.

Due to a water leak Whitebead Schools will be closed Wednesday November 5th for repairs. We apologize for any inconvenience this will cause our parents and guardians. Updates will go out as more information is obtained.

🎃 Red Ribbon Week: Costume Day! 🎃 Our students had a blast showing off their Halloween costumes while celebrating Red Ribbon Week! 👻✨ From superheroes and princesses to spooky creatures and funny favorites, everyone showed their creativity and school spirit while pledging to live drug-free. ❤️💪

🚓🖍️ Red Ribbon Week Coloring Contest Winners! 🖍️🚓 Our PK–5th grade students did an amazing job in this year’s Red Ribbon Week Coloring Contest! 🌟 A big thank you to the Garvin County Sheriff’s Department for visiting our school to judge the contest and for spending time with our PK and Kindergarten students to talk about Trick or Treat safety! 🎃👮‍♂️

🏈⚾️ Red Ribbon Week MS Assembly & Spirit Day! ⚾️🏈 Today we showed our school spirit by wearing our favorite sports team gear! Our middle schoolers also enjoyed an assembly from PASS Prevention Coalition focused on preventing addiction, help with mental health, and making healthy, productive choices! ❤️

🧦 Crazy Sock Day! 🧦 Our Chiefs showed off their wildest, brightest, and craziest socks today for Red Ribbon Week! It’s fun to stand out and make healthy choices — from head to toe! ❤️💪

Our 7th grade scientists created an investigation to tested concentrations of chemicals to create the optimal exothermic/endothermic reaction. 🧪
